Homestead Kennel and Cattery’s dog grooming staff are true professionals that are trained in all different breeds’ styles. We can do a breed “by the book” or adjust to any personal preference.
Some breeds have very sensitive skin – from a dirty coat to dry, itchy skin, a gentle oatmeal bath does wonders.
It is also important for puppies to get used to getting all “cleaned-up” at an early age.
Doodles usually get a nicely styled grooming, but if the dog is very matted, we often don’t have much choice and we have to do a summer shave-down.

Most of our clients are local, but we get some who stay loyal even after moving away. Little Sophie now comes from NY every six weeks to get what her mom wants.

Our basic dog grooming includes:
- Clean ears
- Clean nails
- Bath, brush, and blow dry
- Styled clip to neaten feet, ears, etc.
- Nail clipping
- Spritz of cologne and a bow
It’s a practical idea for a hard-to-buy-for pet owner, especially someone on a fixed income.
